Within Massachusetts, particularly in the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan, systemic inequalities in both the criminal justice and housing systems have caused significant challenges for predominantly Black and Latino communities. Equalizer Justice League, Inc. (EJL, Inc.) is driven by a clear mission to provide competent and affordable legal support to individuals facing legal challenges, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Their vision is rooted in the belief that legal assistance should not depend on one’s wealth or social standing, and that equal justice should be accessible to all.

A long list of “conversations to be had,” about the challenges faced by our local immediate communities takes precedence. A fraction of these conversations, are relevant topics that hits close to home and further reemphasizes EJL, Inc’s stance in its fight for equality and justice for the disenfranchised.
