    Let's reBuild Together Initiative

    In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, Jamaica is currently faced with immense challenges. Whole communities have been devastated, with persons who've lost homes, businesses, and access to life-sustaining resources. But even as the storm subsides, the spirit of Jamaica remains unbroken. Now is the time for the global community to rally together and show that when disaster strikes, we’re ready to help rebuild. 

    We have initiated our unique role and purpose; a platform that will allow communities affected by Hurricane Melissa to list specific needs - be it food, shelter, medical supplies, or rebuilding materials. These requests will be visible to anyone who wants to contribute, whether through a monetary donation or by sending physical items. This model ensures that the aid you provide goes straight to the communities that need it, making it more personal, impactful, and efficient. 

    One of the unique aspects of our “Let's reBuild Together” program initiative is that the communities themselves will register their specific needs on our website. By doing this, they are in control of what’s most important to them—whether it's resources for rebuilding, emergency medical aid, or basic necessities. Supporters can browse these needs and offer help in whatever way they can, making the process of giving both straightforward and transparent.

As a humanitarian, Dr. E. Rose Green is a dedicated, multilingual internationalist whose passionate work highlights her commitment to community. 


As a community advocate, she actively serves on the Board of Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS), an agency offering free legal aid to low-income families to secure basic necessities. GBLS uniquely supports the social service system and is a top referral choice for other providers. Learn more......here

Our Story

In the Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan neighborhoods of the community in Massachusetts, systemic disparities in both the criminal justice and housing systems have deeply impacted the predominantly Black and Latino communities. Historically, these communities, have faced discriminatory practices such as redlining, with limited access to homeownership and affordable housing, perpetuating cycles of poverty and housing instability. 


High incarceration rates, coupled with limited access to affordable housing, create a vicious cycle of disenfranchisement, where individuals returning from incarceration struggle to secure stable housing due to criminal records, while housing policies often exclude or neglect these neighborhoods. This convergence of racial discrimination in housing and the criminal justice system has led to generational poverty, limited economic mobility, and ongoing social inequities, making it difficult for residents to break free from the systemic barriers they face in their pursuit of safety, stability, and opportunity.


In a world where justice often feels out of reach, we are committed to making it a reality for those who need it most. By providing accessible and competent legal support; paving the way for a future where everyone has a fair chance to thrive.


EJL, Inc. invites individuals struggling with criminal justice or housing challenges to reach out. Through collective effort, we aim to create a more just and fair society for all. We are more than just a legal resource and are a movement for systemic change. 

The criminal justice system in Massachusetts plays a central role in maintaining public safety and upholding the rule of law. The state’s approach to criminal justice is shaped by a combination of law enforcement, judicial processes, and correctional systems, all of which are designed to ensure fair and equitable treatment under the law. 

The housing market in Massachusetts is a significant component of both the state’s economy and its broader socio-economic landscape. 
EJL, Inc offers support to persons navigating the complexities of the justice system, who are dealing with Criminal issues or Housing disputes. 

There is a growing demand for Paralegal services, as many individuals cannot afford full legal representation but still require expert assistance. In particular, criminal defense and housing issues remain major challenges for disadvantaged communities.
